Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras can produce images or recordings for surveillance purposes, and can be either video cameras, or digital stills cameras
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) analogue cameras & DVR
An analogue surveillance camera begins with a CCD sensor which converts the visible pictures to analoque PAL/SECAM video signals. Unlike IP cameras, analogue have no built-in web servers or encoders. These functions are implemented in the recording and/or control equipment, the DVR (Digital Video Recorders) which encode the data and store it for later viewing. DVRs provide connection to the internet for remote viewing on computers and mobile devices.
Analogue cameras come in diffrent shapes (cylinder, bullet, Dome cameras) and can be equipped with Infrared LEDs to enable night vision and various other features enabling best picture quality under difficult conditions.
